The Ascot Racecourse holds one of the premier horse racing events in the yearly calendar. Founded by Queen Anne in 1711 there are strong ties with the royal family who still attend this exclusive event.
The 2022 Royal Ascot will take place over 5 days in June. From the 14th of June until the 18th. The stakes are high with the first race of the week offering £600,000 in the prize fund.
This year avoid the notoriously heavy traffic and arrive in style to the course in a simply beautiful helicopter. You and your guests will be well taken care of, and you will arrive in style to enjoy a great day out.
First Day
The first day begins with the arrival of the royal family, with The Royal Procession scheduled for 2pm. The first day is perfect to socialise, you could enjoy a gourmet picnic, afternoon tea or experience fine dining in one of the many restaurants. Race times are scheduled between 2.30pm and 6.10pm for each day of the event although this can vary slightly at short notice.
Second Day
Moving onto the second day of this event, it tends to be more relaxed than the opening day. However, this doesn’t mean there is any compromise in quality of the racing or off-track entertainment. You are guaranteed a perfect day out on the track. At 4.20pm The Prince of Wale’s Stakes are up for grabs; the prize fund is £1 million so this high stakes race is not to be missed.
Third Day
The third day of The Royal Ascot is unofficially known as Ladies Day. This day is all about high fashion and millinery masterpieces. This year’s event is still running at reduced capacity. much like last year the event will be slightly scaled back. Guests are assured this doesn’t affect the allure of this show of high fashion mastery.
Last Day
On the 4th day there are seven races with prize funds as high as £500,000. The day is another brilliant chance to socialise and dine. Why not make the most of the catering throughout the event, there are plenty of fine dining options available.
The final day of the event brings the week to a close with the £1million prize fund. The Platinum Jubilee Stakes will bring a fitting close to this year’s Royal Ascot.
