Communities Engagement

Charities

Admiral Jet are committed to giving back to the local and wider community and we used to make a yearly donation to two charities.

We have introduced a new initiative to make a monthly donation for every booking that is made. We believe it is important that the team are involved so each month a team member will choose a charity which is in line with what is important to them.

The new scheme was introduced in August 2021 and so far we have donated £14,170 to the following charities:

Employees at Admiral Jet are encouraged to participate in internal and external fund-raising activities for charities of their choosing, in line with company policies and legal compliance.

On top of this, Admiral Jet have launched a new volunteer scheme for employees. This scheme will provide one paid day off a year for all employees to volunteer and serve a charity of their choosing.

We will be keeping you updated with what the team have been up to on their voluntary day when they are completed here.

Looking After the Environment

Carbon off setting programme
It is no secret that the aviation industry has the largest growing carbon emissions by sector in the world. With a growth of 128% carbon emissions, the total number of people who flew in 2019 was over 4.4 billion.

To help reduce our carbon emissions and achieve the industry wide goal of cutting carbon emissions in half, Admiral Jet has introduced a Carbon Offset Programme . The cost of this programme will be added to the clients’ final invoice, as an optional charge.  Some clients’ company environmental policies welcome the opportunity to offset their travel, and where this is not the case, we will pay for the carbon offset as part of our own environmental promise.

Managing Director David Doughty comments: “Admiral Jet appreciates that aviation is one of the industries which is producing carbon emissions and believe that this new programme which we are introducing is a short term solution while we all work towards the longer term goal of electric flight”.

How will the Carbon Offsetting Program work?
Admiral Jet have calculated CO2 emmisions for each aircraft route using the fuel burn rate associated with it.  The result is that 0.5% of the charter price will purchase enough carbon offsets for each customer’s flight, no matter what the route.

Admiral jet will purchase carbon credits every quarter to fund carbon savings elsewhere. Should the client offset bpayments collected through our Carbon Offsetting Programme not be enough to purchase the target amount of carbon credits, Admiral Jet will cover the shortfall.

Other Environmental Projects
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility pledge, we are serious about environmental welfare.  We are keen to be pro-active in developing our environmental programme.

Admiral Jet has an extensive recycling scheme, energy conservation and supporting of reforestation activities around the world.
