The Festival season in the UK is well and truly in full swing.  From music, books, art and everything in between.   The summer months are full of festival action in the UK and abroad.  From planned trips for artists and crew ahead of time on board private jets to transfers into the festival by Helicopter. Our team are always covering all aspects of festival travel. This case study looks a how to charter a private helicopter to make two (or more) performances in one day.

One of our clients this festival season needed transport into the event they were performing at, and then a return trip onto their next gig.

Firstly, the artist’s agent got in touch online with the enquiry.  We were in contact straight away confirming details organising the return trip.  The route was from London out to the South coast then after the set was complete back to the Capital the same day.  There was minimal luggage required so a Twin Squirrel helicopter was chartered in this case.  Next, VIP ground transportation was arranged to take our client to the Heliport

Thanks to the flexibility of helicopter landings, we were able to land on an area of the event space which was suitable.  It is also possible to land in your own property if space and conditions permit.  This truly does make an efficient door-to-door service.

For the return trip, the artist’s departure was from the same site and landing at the London Heliport, Battersea.  From there, VIP ground transportation was organised to take the artist home in central London.

In all, this trip saved the client hours in drive time on the road avoiding unpredictable traffic delays too. We received great feedback from the client and one of our Personal Account Managers was on hand to meet and greet the client on departure.
