Private Jet Travel with Pets – A Case Study
Almost half of us share our lives with our pets, so it’s natural that when you’re a frequent traveller you want to take them with you. This can become more difficult when flying commercially but for our clients this is no problem at all, as pets can travel in the cabin with you. Using a private jet to travel with your pets allays any worries you might have had about transporting your furry friends.
This is the case for one of our regular clients.
Our client contacted us ahead of his trip to France from the UK. His regular account manager in the office advised him which airports and aircraft operators are approved by DEFRA for the transportation of pets. On this occasion the client was flying from Biggin Hill to Nice.
One of the dogs hadn’t flown for a while and the other younger dog was experiencing their first flight. The account manager advised on which vaccinations were essential for travel and other documentation such as a pet passports.
There are also restrictions the size of pets comparative to the size of aircraft. The account manager offered aircraft options that would be comfortable for all. In this case the dogs were miniature Dachshunds, under the 8kg limit for the midsize jet that was being chartered.
The two furry companions were able to travel with their owners in the cabin of the aircraft. The private jet experience was stress free for all which was really important to our client. In comparison a commercial flight can be a rather stressful experience as the dogs would have to travel in the cargo hold.
